Bulungula Eco-Lodge
Situated on the breathtaking Wild Coast finds this beautiful eco-friendly lodge. The Bulungula Lodge is Fair Trade certified, affordable and ofcourse eco-friendly. This lodge consists of 5 beautifully decorated huts with 4-6 beds and 5 huts with double beds. Bulungula also has accommodation in luxurious safari tents which are on wooden platforms in the forest. You can watch the dolphins from your bed!

This eco-friendly lodge is a perfect example of a Community Based Tourism project. Besides being eco-friendly with solar power, rocket showers, compost toilets and a strict recycling scheme, Bulungula lodge is also actively involved in assisting community members to set up enterprises that provide a service to visitors to the area. It is now 100% owned by the local community.

Information about the Bulungula Incubator

The Bulungula Incubator is a non-profit organisation established in 2007. Their mission is to be the catalyst in creating vibrant and sustainable rural communities. They work with their community members from conception to carreer with an integrated development strategy in education, health, nutrition and sustainable livelihoods. This non-profit organisation is going the last mile for the Bulungula community to ensure a succesfull adoption of any innovation.
